All I have to say is... You that voted for Obama, you wanted it, you've got it. Well see how the economy is and how taxed burdend but welfare strong, we become as a nation. It's so sad to see how this has proven to be a race, about race. Day by day, the ugly truth is coming out, from school teachers, to dictators signal of approval, to our constitutional rights being threatned. As a 'liberal specialist' on CNN said "We don't know who he is, or what he is about".

Guess what, I plan on putting my trust in my Savior, and Pres. Thomas Monson. I will continue to "Follow the Prophet", and try to encourage my family to do the same. We will do everything the prophets have said, to "be prepared" for the times that are to follow.
As long as we live a "Christ centered life", All is well, come what may. Pres. Gorden B. Hinckley and Pres. Monson have said for us not to fear, so that is what I am will rely on.

What amazes me is the overwhelming number of Mormons I know and read about voting for Obama although they do not agree with some of his views, they think it is for the betterment of our country that he runs it...hmmm...let's just do away with moral values altogether!
AMEN! Follow the prophet like the little children sing!

I try to live my life with an open mind and heart. I am a long ways from perfect but each day I wake up I try to improve. I attempted to follow this presidential election very close, studying all sides of the canadates. I don't consider myself a Republican or Democrat. For this conversation, in my opinion, it does not matter who I voted for.

I rarely post comments on blogs but this post struck a sensitive nerve with me. I agree completely, I too put my trust in the Savior and strive to do what I think he would do.

My question is, how would the Savior react in this situation we as United States citizens are in? Would he say you asked for it, you got it, or would he look at the situation and say with love and understanding, things may not be where we want or need them. Let's work together, stengthen one another and figure out how to make the most out this situation we are in?

The world situation may not be what we would like, but the only way we will be able to improve anything is not by alienating each other but by joining together as humans, not Democrats or Republicans, and figuring out what needs to be done.

Finally, it is my sincere opinion that this was not an election based on race. We now have a president elect that is African American. Just think what else is possible. Not too long ago people were pursecuted, even killed for their religious beliefs. I now have hope that maybe someday soon we can have a Latter Day Saint president of the United States!
